GA Position Available

The Enterprise Risk Management Office in the Administration and Finance Division is seeking a graduate assistant for the 2016-2017 academic year to work 10 hours per week beginning in September 2016.  The office is located on ECU main campus in the Spilman Building.

Job description:The GA will be responsible for tracking status on actions related to ECU’s risk management cycle, supporting the enterprise risk management committee, conducting research and preparing information papers on specific risk management topics, and assisting in the drafting of periodic bulletins/newsletters on risk relevant risk management topics.  Secondary duties may include logistical assistance for risk management training workshops and presentation preparation as well as basic-level SharePoint and web site content editing.  The GA may expect to build skill sets valuable to future employment and gain exposure to risk management activities in large organizations.

Minimum qualifications:A qualified candidate should have a minimum 3.0 GPA and should submit an unofficial transcript with résumé. Must possess excellent interpersonal skills, analytic abilities, and ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing. This position often requires the ability to work independently. Candidate must have a strong computer background and experience with MS Windows, Office, and SharePoint. High level of accuracy and attention to detail required. Good report writing and documentation skills. Ability to maintain focus and complete projects on time.

 Preferred qualifications:Business background preferred.  Risk management interest or concentration in undergraduate.  Working knowledge of MS Office (especially Excel and PowerPoint), MS Outlook, and SharePoint.
