Grad Assistant Position in Global Academic Initiatives

Description: The office of Global Academic Initiatives is looking for a graduate student to fill a GA position to support global academic programs. The GA in this position is responsible for managing real time links between ECU classes and our global partner institutions. The duties include communicating with partner institutions to manage link arrangements and support actual link sessions during classes. In addition, the GA will work with undergraduate student tech support personnel to ensure compliance with GAI protocols and procedures, maintain and update tech support materials, implement and monitor a reporting structure, and help with new projects/initiatives as needed.  This position has a lot of interaction with tech personnel and teachers both here and at our partner institutions abroad.

Desired Skills/Knowledge: The successful candidate should be tech-savvy and self-motivated with strong interpersonal and intercultural communication skills. Reliability and patience are required to successfully fulfill the assignments. Experience or interest in working cross-culturally is a plus.

Work Hours: This is a 20 or 25 hour a week position with the potential for summer support.
