Spring 2017 Graduation Instructions
Apply for graduation. If you are completing your program requirements (degree or certificate) this semester, please be sure to apply for graduation by 2/15/2017. You can find instructions on how to complete the application here.
Certificates. If you are completing a certificate along with your degree, you must complete separate applications for the degree and the certificate. You are encouraged to login to DegreeWorks (through Pirate Port >Banner Self Serve) to ensure you have registered your certificate as part of your degree plan. If you do not see your certificate listed, you will need to complete this form to add the certificate to your degree.
Ceremonies.There are 2 graduation ceremonies: the university-wide ceremony and the College of Business ceremony. You will need to RSVP if you plan to attend either or both events; RSVP forms are not yet available and will be sent out in the coming weeks.
The College of Business commencement ceremony will be held Friday, May 5th at 5pm in Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum. This is where your name is read and you walk across the stage to receive congratulations from and are hooded by the chair of the department and the dean of the college.
The Spring 2017 University Commencement Ceremony will be held on Friday, May 5th at Dowdy Ficklen Stadium at 9:00a.m. and includes graduates from all degree levels and schools. No tickets are required. Graduates should arrive at the gate for their school/college by 8:15a.m.
