Will a Hold Prevent You From Registering?
Academic Holds
If you are on academic probation or were admitted by exception and are still completing your 9 hours, you will have an academic hold on your account that will prevent you from registering for next semester until final grades are posted for the current semester. This hold is placed by the Graduate School and there are no overrides or exceptions to this rule. Spring 2017 grades should be posted May 7, and there is a 2-3 day processing period for all holds to be reviewed and updated. Please plan accordingly.
Other Holds
Some students might have holds on their accounts from other departments on campus, like Financial Aid or Parking. If you have a hold for Exit Loan Counseling, please follow this link to complete the counseling. If you are unsure of the reason for your hold, check Banner Self Serve or contact us here in the Grad Programs Office.
