Reports to: VP, Marketing & Customer Experience

Overview
As the largest outdoor sporting goods distributor in North America, Big Rock Sports has a product inventory of over 190,000 SKUs in more than 500,000 square feet of warehouse space at five regional distribution centers in the U.S. and two regional distribution centers across Canada.

Big Rock Sports services more than 15,000 fishing, hunting, shooting, camping and marine retailers in the United States, Canada, the Caribbean and eight other countries. Over 650 employees make up the outside sales and inside support teams.

We are seeking a Business/Marketing Analyst to join the Marketing Team at Big Rock Sports. The Business/Marketing Analyst will provide customer insights through data mining and visualization. This requires the ability to work with complex customer data sets along with knowledge of marketing performance metrics in order to report relevant insights about Big Rock’s customers along with related marketing opportunities and challenges.

The Business/Marketing Analyst will be an integral part of the Marketing Team located in North Carolina.

Essential Qualifications and Responsibilities

  • Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, via written and oral formats
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work successfully with teams across the organization
  • Simultaneously manage multiple projects from beginning through completion
  • Work to ensure data is of high quality and properly integrated with other systems
  • Support strategic and operational sales and marketing programs through tracking, analysis and reporting of promotion-specific data on a wide variety of direct marketing and online marketing activity
  • Work with marketing leadership on additional data, insights and analytic projects as needed

Education + Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Data Analytics, Statistics or related field
  • 2+ years experience in marketing, market research, or other related field a plus
  • Strong skills in MS Office tools including Excel, Access, PowerPoint
