12 Things to Know About Fall Graduation Ceremonies

12 THINGS TO KNOW FOR STUDENTS GRADUATING IN December 2017:

  1. The College of Business (CoB) Graduate Recognition Ceremony will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 9:00 am in Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum.
  2. All students graduating in December 2017 are invited to participate in this ceremony.
  3. Regalia (caps and gowns) can be picked up at the Student Store.  Graduate students will wear black caps and gowns and DRAB hoods and tassels. If you have any questions about regalia, see http://www.ecu.edu/cs-acad/commencement/graduateInformation.cfm . For a fee, you can have your regalia mailed to you (see details on the website).
  4. NO INVITATIONS WILL BE MAILED TO THIS EVENT.
  5. STUDENTS MUST RSVP ONLINE AT http://www.ecu.edu/cs-bus/graduation.cfm by November 16, 2017This is a separate RSVP than the RSVP for the University ceremony. You must RSVP here if you want to have your name called for the College of Business Ceremony. After you hit “submit” on the online RSVP form, a confirmation will pop up on the screen. You will NOT receive a confirmation email.
  6. You MUST RSVP if you plan to participate in the ceremony. If you fail to do this, your name will not be called at graduation and may not be printed in the program.
  7. You must also apply to graduate via the Registrar’s office in order to receive your diploma and have your name included in the program. See details here:  http://www.ecu.edu/cs-acad/registrar/Graduation-Information.cfm.
  8. Your guests do NOT need tickets, and there is no limit on the number of guests you can invite.
  9. Graduating students should arrive at Williams Arena at 8:30 am.
  10. The ceremony will last approximately an hour and a half.
  11. You can purchase graduation announcements at the Student Store.
  12. The University-wide ceremony will be held on Friday, December 15th at 10:00 am in Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum. For more information, go to http://www.ecu.edu/commencement/.
