About the Pirate Entrepreneurship Challenge:
The Pirate Entrepreneurship Challenge is ECU College of Businesses’ Miller School of Entrepreneurship signature business pitch competition. The competition is open to all entrepreneurship teams that have at least one enrolled ECU student. This three-round pitch competition begins in October with an open-air trade show. The field narrows to 12 teams for the second round of the competition in November, and six teams advance from the second round to the third and final round on February 21st. The six finalists will be paired with individual mentors to help further develop the business concept. At the final competition in February three finalists will be announced and $77,000 in cash prizes will be awarded to the winners. Winners from the Pirate Challenge will go on to represent ECU at Regional and National competitions.
