Graduate Assistantship Opportunity-MSITE Department

 

The Department of Mathematics, Science, and Instructional Technology Education (MSITE) is seeking a graduate assistant for the Spring 2019 semester. The graduate assistant would be expected to work 20 hours per week for about 16 weeks beginning on January 7, 2019 and ending on April 23, 2019. Our main office is in Flanagan 352 on ECU’s Main Campus.

Job description:

 

The GA will be assigned to work with faculty in the MSITE department. Duties will include working on various research and teaching projects. The graduate assistant may be asked to do any or all of the following:

  • Collect data
  • Organize data
  • Conduce a literature review
  • Participate in research brainstorming sessions
  • Proofread research drafts
  • Help develop curriculum materials

 

Minimum qualifications:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, analytic abilities, and ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing
  • Ability to work independently at times
  • Strong computer background, experience with MS Office applications, and willingness to learn to use data analysis software
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to complete projects on time
