Registration Reminders (Opens TODAY @ 1pm) | Check for Holds!

 

Just a few reminders about registration for all Summer 2019 sessions and Fall 2019 open TODAY at 1:00 PM for graduate students:

CHECK FOR HOLDS!!!

Remember to check your student account for any HOLDS. Holds will prevent you from being able to register on Friday, March 22.

To check your account for holds follow these steps:

  1. Log in to Banner Self Service (PiratePort)
  2. Select the ‘Student’ tab at the top of the page
  3. Select ‘Student Records’
  4. Select ‘View Holds’

Pirates Aboard Orientation in Blackboard Hold All new COB Grad Students must complete this orientation course prior to the first day of classes. Newly admitted students for summer and fall will not have holds on their accounts. Students who were admitted for Spring 2019 or earlier and have not completed the orientation will likely have a hold.

Haven Sexual Assault Prevention Module Hold Students have been emailed MANY times by the Graduate School to complete this module prior to registration. See below for instructions to complete the module. If you haven’t completed Part 1 of the module, you will likely have a hold and will not be able to register!

Probation/Admit-by-Exception Hold Students who are on academic probation or admit-by-exception will not be able to register until after final grades are posted in May.  The terms of these statuses were explained in their notification/admission letters and the students should be referred back to those documents for review if they have questions.

Other Holds Students who have other types of holds and get registration errors need to contact the office that applied the hold.  Please go to this website to get more information about their holds and who to contact to resolve. https://registrar.ecu.edu/holds/

 

HAVEN SEXUAL ASSAULT PREVENTION MODULE INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS

  1. Go to https://pirateport.ecu.edu/portal/ enter your Pirate ID and Passphrase.
  2. Click on the “My Apps” icon on right margin of page.
  3. Scroll down to the Student Affairs heading and choose “Safety Awareness”. Scroll down and click to SAPG (Sexual Assault Prevention for Graduate Students) to access the module
  4. Click on Sexual Assault Prevention link and accept the “Terms Agreement” to begin. There are two parts to this module.
  5. You may log in and out of the module at any time, but ensure that you’ve completed a lesson before logging out. It is recommended that you complete the section you are in before you log out; otherwise you may be required to repeat that
  6. There is an intercession period of 30 days between completion of Part 1 and Part 2.  You will not be able to access the module during this 30 day period.
  7. Access to Sexual Assault Prevention Part 2 will reopen as soon as your 30-day intercession has ended.
