Part-time GA | Dept of Health Services and Information Management

Description: Under the supervision of a faculty member conducting the research project, the graduate research assistant is responsible for assisting the faculty member in a variety of tasks which may include data collection, preparing resources, equipment, materials for the research, documenting results, etc. in support of the research activities.

Typical Duties:

  • Online data collection and data entry.
  • Interpret, synthesize and analyze collected data.
  • Meet with the faculty supervisor on a regular basis to maintain ongoing communication regarding the quality of the assistant’s performance.
  • Perform other related duties as required.

 

Work duration: 10 hours/week.

 

Qualifications: Current enrolment in a graduate studies program at ECU.

Skills/Abilities: Subject knowledge and oral/written communication skills to discuss and document research progress. Ability to work independently, accurately and to problem solve technical and methodological issues that arise during the course of the project. Ability to apply sound research techniques, methodology and logical critical analysis. Strong organization and interpersonal skills.
