GAOpp: Division of Research, Economic Development, and Engagement
ECU’s Division of Research, Economic Development and Engagement, located at the Greenville Centre, has two student job openings for Fall 2019/Spring 2020. Positions are open to undergraduate and graduate students up to 15 hrs/week.

Divisional Graphic Designer: The REDE Graphic Designer will perform a range of visual/graphic arts functions used in promotional, instructional and educational materials for the division. This work includes both internal and external communication efforts. Work includes consulting, creating, designing, planning, and delivering products that visually communicate divisional and program information. The Graphic Designer may be asked to produce catalogs, brochures, magazines, banners, campaigns, invitations, and posters that follow ECU branding guidelines. Students should be proficient in Adobe InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator.
Innovation and New Ventures News Writer: REDE’s Office of Innovation and New Ventures News Writer will write news articles focusing on ECU inventors, licensed products, and technology transfer and patenting processes. In partnership with the Office of Innovation and New Ventures Executive Director and the Division of Research, Economic Development and Engagement Communications Specialist, the news writer will develop a list of ECU inventors and licensed products for feature stories that highlight the innovative and entrepreneurial successes of the university. Students will conducts interviews, perform research, produce outlines and write news articles that will be shared in print and on various ECU news outlets including REDE’s website, social media channels, and newsletters. The News Writer will receive editing and story development assistance from the REDE Communications Specialist.
