Last Day for Spring Refund is Feb 10
The last day to receive a refund for dropping a Spring 2020 class is February 10. Students who drop a class by this date will be given a 25% refund.
Beginning February 11, refunds will not be considered. If a student wishes to
appeal, the process must be initiated in writing to the Tuition Refund Appeals Committee

How To Drop A Class:
You are NOT able to remove a class from your schedule through PiratePort after the CAP – this must be done by the Registrar’s Office (regis@ecu.edu) via email from your ECU student email address. The email should include:
- Full name
- ECU Banner ID
- Course name/number
- Reason
Please copy your advisor on any email correspondence regarding class or term withdrawal. Graduate students do not need a schedule change form or a signature/approval from the College of Business Graduate Programs office.
The Registrar’s Office will send an email confirmation once the request has been processed. Note that this is a manual process and not all requests are processed on the same day they are received (i.e. over the weekend). All requests will be backdated to the date of email request and processed accordingly. This means if you submit your request on a Saturday, the Registrar’s office will make the effective withdraw date to be Saturday, even if the request is processed the following Tuesday.
