PLEASE READ: MBA, MS-STH and Certs are NOT 8-week Blocks for Fall | MSA Will Be 8-week Block

All MBA, MS-STH, and all COB graduate certificate courses will follow their original 15-week schedules for Fall 2020.

ECU College of Business has obtained a special exemption from the Provost from the 8-week semester format that the rest of the university will adopt for the Fall 2020 semester. This is because these classes are mostly online already and our learners are accustomed to distance education. Should the on-campus courses need to transition to online format at any point in the Fall 2020 semester, there should be minimal disruption.

This applies to the following courses/departments:

ACCT6241*, ACCT6301, ACCT6521*
BUSI
FINA
HMGT
MGMT
MKTG*
MIS
OMGT
SUTO
*ACCT6241-602, ACCT6521-602, MKTG6752-601, & MKTG6992-601 were originally setup as 8-week courses. These sections will remain as 8-week courses.

All MSA courses will transition to 8-week block schedules for Fall.

Students will take the same number of courses, but instead of taking all their classes concurrently for the duration of the semester, the semester will be divided into two 8-week blocks. As of now, the start and end dates for the semester remain unchanged.

Students who have already registered for classes will have their existing schedules migrated to the new format for them. There will be minor changes to the registration process for new registrations and for students who want to make schedule changes.

The block scheduling format will allow us to be more flexible and nimble in our approach as we plan for fall classes and implement the necessary adaptations to keep our students, faculty and staff healthy and safe.
