WITHDRAWAL DEADLINE EXTENDED

From the Graduate School…

The course withdrawal date has been extended to April 27th, the last day of classes for the 15-week term. https://www.ecu.edu/cs-acad/fsonline/customcf/calendar/SPRING2021_15wk.pdfThis date, April 27th applies to 15-week courses and Block 2 courses.

Important note: To drop one class, the deadline is still March 25. To drop your entire schedule, the date is now April 27.

Please speak with your advisor and course instructors if you have any concerns about your class performance at this time.

Course withdrawals show up as a “W” on your transcript and do not result in a refund. If you have multiple Ws on your record, please speak with the Office of Financial Aid prior to requesting a withdrawal because Ws can affect your eligibility for financial aid.

The calendar currently says “undergraduate” students, but we are getting that corrected.  April 27th is the correct date for graduate students now, too.

Instructions

In order to drop a class, you will need to email regis@ecu.edu from your ECU email. Please also copy your advisor in the email. You will need to include your name, Banner ID, and CRN of the course you are dropping.

Pass/Fail

Graduate Students can Pass/Fail up to two classes this Spring 2021 semester. More information will be made available in the coming weeks on how to request a Pass or Fail grade.

As a general rule, students with A’s and B’s should keep the letter grades. Students with C’s should take the Pass option. With a pass you still get credit for the course, it just doesn’t impact your GPA. Students with F’s should take the Fail option. The Fail won’t impact your GPA and you will not get credit for the course.
