Connecting to the network               
ECU’s primary campus network, eduroam, is more than access to the internet and ECU resources. Enroll once for four years of access anywhere eduroam is available (including many other UNC campuses). Collaboration tools and services
ECU email is offered through your ECU Microsoft 365 subscription. Mailbox space is 100GB.Multi-Factor Authentication is set up the first time you log in to email. MFA is a security action to verify your identity during log in to many ECU systems. Email login: piratemail.ecu.edu

Microsoft Teams can be used for individual and group chats, file sharing, and collaboration.

Microsoft Teams video training can show you to how set up and customize a team, work with posts and messages, manage your activity feed, and more.

Access Teams by logging into Office365 Apps Online or download the software from the ECU Download Center.

Meet online with colleagues, students and others – even non-ECU users – through Cisco Webex, the primary collaboration and conferencing tool for the university.Log into Webex now.

File storage
Store/share documents on ECU’s Piratedrive (approved for sensitive data storage; accessible through PiratePort or ECU’s VPN) or OneDrive (approved for non-sensitive academic and non-critical work files, student project collaboration, and FERPA data storage).Learn more about OneDrive at Microsoft’s help and learning website.
Software
ECU provides a variety of software for faculty and staff use, including Microsoft Office, statistical tools such as SAS and SPSS, and Adobe Creative Cloud products.Download Software
