Unity for Ukraine Vigil

The Office of Global Affairs at East Carolina University stands in support for those impacted by the violence in Ukraine. Our thoughts are with those who have friends, family and colleagues in the region. Global Affairs continues to monitor the situation and stands ready to assist any impacted faculty, students, and staff to find the resources they need.

Regardless of whether you have family or loved ones in the region or not, we know this is a stressful situation. If you need support, we encourage you to seek help from either Center for Counseling and Student Development Services or the Faculty and Staff Assistance Program.

The Pirate Roundtable will be hosting a special Unity for Ukraine vigil tomorrow, Wednesday, March 2 at 8 pm on the ECU Mall near the Cupola. This vigil is open to ECU faculty, staff, and students as well as the Pitt / Greenville community as a time of reflection and support.

If you would like to support relief efforts in Ukraine, the United Nations Ukraine Relief Fund, the International Rescue Committee, and UNICEF are among the many organizations providing humanitarian support to those impacted by the conflict.

Finally, in these difficult times, please be aware that discrimination or harassment based on national origin is prohibited by law and ECU policy. If you encounter or observe any such discrimination or harassment please contact ECU’s Equal Opportunity and Title IX Concerns & Complaints to report your concerns.
