On Academic Probation? Census Day is January 23rd

All students must maintain a minimum GPA of 3.0 to remain in good academic standing. If a student’s GPA falls below 3.0 at the conclusion of any semester, the student will be placed on academic probation.

Why does Census Day matter?

Students on academic probation are given 9 consecutive semester hours to raise their GPA to at least 3.0. Courses with a grade of “I” (incomplete) or dropped after census day (tenth day of the semester) are included in the calculation of the 9 semester hours. If you are on academic probation, any classes that you remain registered for after 5:00 p.m. on January 23rd will count towards your 9 probationary hours, even if you withdraw from the class later in the semester.
