The Graduate School is seeking a campus-based graduate student to assist with numerous research and administrative tasks. These include the development of communication, social media, advertisements/flyers; creation and analysis of surveys; copying, scanning, uploading documents; event planning for student and faculty professional development events; producing handbooks and manuals; and assisting with WordPress website development and maintenance. Skills in graphic design, such as with Canva or the Adobe Suite, are preferred. The position will be for 20 hours per week and can begin as early as July 1st, with the possibility of continuing through May 2024.

Graduate Assistant Needed in Graduate School

The Graduate School is seeking a campus-based graduate student to assist with numerous research and administrative tasks. These include the development of communication, social media, advertisements/flyers; creation and analysis of surveys in Qualtrics, RedCap, and Excel; copying, scanning, uploading documents into the university document database (Xtender); event planning for student and faculty professional development events; producing handbooks and manuals via Microsoft Publisher, Word, or InDesign; assist with WordPress website development and maintenance. Skills in graphic design such as with Canva or the Adobe Suite is preferred. The position requires strong skills in Microsoft Office specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. The graduate assistant will also assist graduate school leadership with data collection and data management for reports and analyses. The position will be for 20 hours per week and can begin as early as July 1 with the possibility of continuing through May 2024. Although, some of the job tasks can be done remotely, the position does require a physical presence in the Graduate School office/on-campus for training and some work tasks including event planning and collaboration. At times, this will be at least 3-4 times per week on campus, in the office or elsewhere on campus. Student must be available for August 10 – 17th for an on-campus orientation event held all day on August 16th.

The student will be required for on-campus activities, but some work can be done remotely after training. The student must be in a degree program enrolled in a minimum of 9 graduate credits each semester and maintain a 3.0 GPA or higher.
