Graduate School Orientation Sessions

These orientation sessions are optional because the Arthur School has its own orientation course (Pirates Aboard in Canvas).

Fall 2024 Orientation Sessions with Student Panels

  • Thursday, 25 July, 6:00-7:15 PM EST – Standard orientation for all students. Features a panel of current graduate students, discuss campus resources, differences between undergraduate and graduate programs, etc. Join the 7/25 orientation meeting
  • Monday, 5 August, 7:00-8:15 PM EST – Online Student Orientation. Features a panel of current online graduate students; focus on resources available to online students and discussion of work-life balance. Join the 8/5 orientation meeting
  • Tuesday, 13 August, 3:00-5:30 PM EST – Orientation with Panel and Resource Presenters. Features a panel of current graduate students and “live” presenters from various campus resource centers, focus on assistantship responsibilities and life in Greenville. Join the 8/13 meeting
  • Thursday, 15 August, 6:00-7:15 PM EST– Final Chance Question and Answer Session. Have questions after having initial program meetings? Bring the questions to this session. Join the 8/15 orientation meeting

New Graduate Student Orientation Course in Canvas

  • All newly admitted graduate students are enrolled in an optional online orientation course within the learning management system, Canvas. The course will appear in a student’s course listing or students will receive an invitation to join the course after they enroll in classes for their first semester. If students do not see the New Graduate Student Orientation course in Canvas, please have students send an email to gradorientation@ecu.edu using their ECU email and providing their Banner ID.
