Cap & Gown
Information regarding caps and gowns can be found here: https://commencement.ecu.edu/cap-and-gown/
All participants must wear a cap and gown. Graduate students wear black caps, gowns, and drab (that’s the official color) hoods and tassels. Your hood will be collected prior to the ceremony, and you will be hooded on stage. Keep in mind it is unlikely you will be hooded with the hood you bring. Student fees cover the cost of the caps, gowns, and tassels. Hoods are paid for by the graduate.
If you are in the Greenville area, the easiest way to purchase your hood and pick up your cap and gown is to visit the Dowdy Student Stores located in the ECU Main Campus Student Center at 501 E. 10th Street. Store hours can be viewed here: https://ecu.bncollege.com/
If you are not in the Greenville area, please follow these instructions to order your regalia:
- Go to ecu.bncollege.com to order your hood first; search for OH Master Hood (Oak Hall Master Hood). Choose Drab as the color option – this is the College of Business color. Take note of the order number for your hood because you will add that number to the online request form you submit for your cap and gown. Choose the Ship To option instead of the Store Pick Up option.
- Complete the Regalia Order Form.
- For question 7, all students should answer MBA. Even if you are earning the MSA or the MSSTH, please indicate MBA to ensure the Bookstore sends the correct color. All College of Business graduate students should have a drab-colored hood for the ceremony.
- For question 8, please answer College of Business.
- Enter your order number from step 1 for question 9.
It is very important to select SHIP OUT on the hood order because the order process auto selects in store pick up.
The ECU Student store will include all your items in one shipment ($8.99 shipping fee). If you have any questions or concerns about your regalia, please contact the store at 252-328-6731 or SM8397@bncollege.com.
