Update on Marketing Certificate
We have recently reviewed the Marketing (MKTG) certificate criteria.
MKTG for MBA students
Key updates for Fall 2017:
- ACCT6521 is no longer a prerequisite for MKTG6822
- MKTG6822 (a required MBA course) will count towards the 4 required MKTG certificate courses; only 3 additional electives needed
- MKTG certificate will not add any time or credit hours to MBA program
For MBA students already working towards the MKTG certificate who will graduate in Fall 2017 or later, students will only need to complete MKTG6822 and 3 MKTG electives. Students graduating before Fall 2017 (Spring 2017 or Summer 2017) will still need to complete MKTG6822 and 4 MKTG electives.
Students who were Accounting undergraduates who waived ACCT6521 will need an additional elective (can be any College of Business elective, not necessarily a MKTG elective).
