Fall Graduates: Apply to Graduate by Sept. 6!
Apply to Graduate
Students who will be graduating this Fall should apply by the September 6 deadline. This page has more information on the different steps to commencement.
In order to have your degree conferred, you MUST apply to graduate in Banner Self Serve (through PiratePort)! If you are getting an MBA + a certificate, you must submit two applications – one for the degree, one for the certificate.
How to Apply to Graduate:
- Login to PiratePort
- Click on Banner Self Service
- From the Student tab, click Student Records
- Under Academic Record, click Apply to Graduate
- Do this again if you are graduating with a degree and a certificate

Fall 2019 COB Graduate Recognition Ceremony
For College of Business Undergraduate & Graduate Students
Friday, December 13th, 1pm in Minges Coliseum
Invitations will not be mailed. Tickets ARE NOT required for the ceremony.
Students must REPLY ONLINE by October 21st to participate in the ceremony.
Please carefully review all information regarding arrival time, regalia, and photo opportunities in the COB Graduation Information document.

ECU Commencement Ceremony
The university-wide commencement ceremony will be held at 9am, Fri, Dec 13th in Minges Coliseum.

Graduation Expo
Grad Expo will be October 16th and 17th, from 10 am to 7 pm in the lower level of Dowdy Student Stores in the Main Campus Student Center.
Fall students receiving their Bachelor’s or Master’s degree pick up their cap and gown during the Grad Expo or any time afterwards at Dowdy Student Stores in the Main Campus Student Center. Graduation regalia, non-customized invitations and stoles, souvenir tassels, and extra caps are available for sale on the lower level of the store.
