Spanish-speaking Internal Sales Intern | Fountain, NC
AE Wire is a South African company that has recently opened an operation in Fountain, NC. They produce looms and connectors for the automotive industry. They sell to companies like Costco and are the largest producer in the world of the types of products they produce. In NC, they are called US Wire. They are seeking a part-time “sales” intern (undergrad or grad student), but as you can see by the attached description, it would be someone providing sales support rather than direct sales at this point. The company is doing a ton of business around the world, but in the US, they have many customers in Mexico. Consequently, they want someone who is fluent (first language) in Spanish.
This is a great opportunity for one of our students who is interested in engaging in international business and has an interest in a permanent industrial sales position upon graduation.
Role and Responsibilities
We are looking for a thorough and organized sales agent who is detail-oriented to join our team. You will play a key role in sharing information about our company and products. You will manage existing accounts, find new sales leads, deliver sales strategies and sell our company product.
- Attend to all correspondence regards new orders placed, updates, new developments and deliveries
- New orders – checked and loaded onto system
- Checking of drawings when items are ordered as per a certain revision, if not the same revision than currently on the external drawings file, to send client the drawing and confirm revision required.
- Confirmation of order to the client and feedback on delivery date possible/shortages on materials and new delivery dates.
- To supply update on all orders for customers once a consignment has been collected and new orders placed.
- Responsible for quotes Updating the developments schedule on the server
- To confirm approval of samples/drawing on any orders placed on new quoted items or items where recent changes were requested and made.
- To inform clients when orders are ready for collection and send waybills to clients on dispatch of goods.
- Updating of weekly schedules for customers. Dispatch of orders according to the JIT dates given as per schedule
- Plant visits to local customers to attend to new developments, engineering changes and sales meetings.
- Liaison between client and factory for all order requirements (delay order, expedite order etc)
