Summary

The Supply Chain Planning Intern is a full time (40 hours/week) Summer Internship that will help further the Pharmaceutical Supply Chain Planning and Forecasting pillar of our Supply Chain organization and report to our Lead Supply Chain Planner. This role will help to develop a portfolio management and metric program for supply chain to enable us to appropriately prioritize supply chain activities. Additionally, this role will provide analytics around current supply chain active functions such as forecasting and demand planning. This data will be applied to strategic industry frameworks to improve and enable our decision making process and to leverage metrics to show progress within the function. This role may also be involved in implementing selected supply chain software.

Conduct market intelligence on best practices and metrics to apply to the function
Develop recommendations on which metrics we should pursue and how to obtain the data
Develop analytical models to support maintaining recommended metrics
Enable and further develop our forecasting and demand planning frameworks
Collect supply chain data to enable forecasting and metrics
Review third party logistics strategy

Current MBA or graduate student concentrating in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Biotechnology or related discipline
Experience or interest in a supply chain related function; industry experience preferred but not required
Experience with data analytics, including Excel analytics and/or Tableau with the ability to develop data dashboards to translate deep data sets into meaningful metrics and visual representations
Ability to develop and augment data sets via aggregation of multiple disparate data sources

This is an office-based position located at the main headquarters in downtown Durham, NC.
