PMP Exam Prep Workshop for Project Managers

The Project Management Professional (PMP) certification can increase your professional credibility and is recognized internationally. The median salary for PMPs is 25% higher than those without it!

This 4-day hybrid workshop will cover the topics outlined in each of the three Domains (People, Process and Business Environment) being covered in the exam released in January 2021. Two days will include Face-to-Face instruction while the remaining two days will be taught virtually. Instruction will include crucial project management concepts and formulas, tips and techniques on how to be successful when sitting for the exam, practice exam questions to help participants familiarize themselves with the question formats, and a customized study plan. Register/More Information

Who should take it: Those individuals who have a 4-year degree and 3 years experience leading projects.

April H. Reed has been a Project Management Institute (PMI) certified Project Management Professional (PMP) since 1999 and is a certified Scrum Master (CSM). She began her career as a programmer, systems analyst and then project manager. As a project manager she led projects such as: Software Implementations, CMMI standards program implementation, Networking upgrades, RFP for lockbox processing software and imaging equipment, and the move of a back-office operation.

April conducts research on project risk, project management simulations and hybrid project processes. She has several published articles on project management topics in journals such as: International Journal of Project Management and International Journal of Information Technology Management.

At ECU, April currently teaches graduate level project management courses on processes, tools and techniques in the project management life cycle, Agile project management, and project manager soft skills.
