Commencement Info is Announced! RSVPs are REQUIRED

They have announced the plans for December 2021 commencement.

December graduates must RSVP to the ceremony by November 1st or there is a chance you will NOT be able to participate.

Details are on the website:  https://commencement.ecu.edu/

East Carolina University’s two in-person university ceremonies will be held at 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. Friday, Dec. 17, 2021 in Williams Arena at Minges Coliseum.

Both ceremonies will be held in compliance with all federal, UNC System and ECU guidelines regarding the evolving nature of COVID-19. Masks will be required by all graduates and attendees.

The designation of which ceremony each college will participate in will be announced in early November and will be based on the number of students applying to graduate through the Registrar’s Office as well as completing the mandatory RSVP.  Those students who have successfully applied to graduate will receive this information through their ECU Student email.

Tickets will not be required for graduates or guests, but each graduate will be required to complete the mandatory RSVP to ensure proper planning and precautions are in place.

Despite the easing of some restrictions by the North Carolina Governor’s Office, ECU will not host any in-person college or department ceremonies for fall 2021.  For additional updates in the coming weeks visit the ECU Commencement website. For specific questions, email commencement@ecu.edu.
