Winter Weather Impacts on Academic Calendar

Due to the winter weather and its effects on Pitt County/Greenville, the decision was made to cancel classes on Monday, January 9, 2017.

The Academic Calendar has been adjusted as follows:
– Monday, January 9 -faculty should utilize an alternate means of instruction, to distribute the materials that would have been handled during the first class meeting for Monday classes.
– Tuesday, January 10 -the University operates on a regular schedule.
– Tuesday, January 17 – course adjustment period (CAP) ends at 5:00pm. This allows for five class days for instruction and attendance by students, prior to closing the course adjustment period. (THIS IS THE LAST DAY TO DROP A CLASS)
– Monday, January 23 – Monday classes meet for the first time
– Monday, January 23 – census

For classes that only meet on Mondays, the University Registrar will review/approve all late course withdrawal requests, without penalty, initiated on or before January 24 (after Monday classes meet for the first time on January 23). Requests should be sent to
regis@ecu.edu.
