Dr. Rich Klindworth is a former news anchor who now works in the News Services Department at East Carolina University. He earned his Doctor of Education (EdD), focusing his research on Hispanic student recruitment in higher education. He created ECU’s Let’s Connect and Conectémonos en ECU student recruitment programs.

Before joining ECU, he spent nearly 14 years working in television and radio news and sports. Earlier in his career, he worked in surgical sales. Drawing on his journalism background, he now produces news videos and writes articles for ECU. He also hosts ECU’s podcast, Talk Like a Pirate.

Outside of work, he is a two-time Ironman triathlete.
