Cunanan Center provides visits to area companies

About 30 students, men and women, smile with a Lenovo sign to their left. All of the participants are making a hook with their index finger.
Students traveling with the COB’s Cunanan Center for Professional Success got to tour Lenovo in Raleigh.

It has been a busy fall for the Cunanan Center for Professional Success, taking both graduate and undergraduate students on adventures to see where they could soon be working.

The Immersive MBA (IMBA) cohort traveled to Spirit AeroSystems. During the visit, students had the opportunity to engage one-on-one with members of Spirit’s executive team. They gained firsthand insight into key leadership principles and decision-making at a high level. The experience also highlighted Spirit’s significant role within the aviation industry, giving students a deeper understanding of how leadership, innovation and operational excellence drive impact on a global scale.

Then, the Cunanan Center took about 30 students to Raleigh, providing a valuable immersion into the professional world. During the visit, students toured several major organizations – including Lenovo, Sentinel, First Citizens, UBS and Siemens – where they engaged directly with leadership teams. Through conversations and presentations, students gained insight into diverse leadership styles and saw firsthand how the concepts they learn in the classroom are applied in real-world business environments. The experience offered a practical, behind-the-scenes look at modern industry and leadership in action.
