Mr. Peterson is a Teaching Instructor in the Accounting Department at East Carolina University. His teaching focuses on internal audit, fraud and introductory courses in the areas of financial and managerial accounting. He is currently engaged in a number of service activities, including roles as Treasurer of his community’s HOA Board of Directors and President of his Rotary Club. Prior to academia, Greg held managerial-level accounting and finance positions within the audit practice at KPMG’s Norfolk, VA office, an Accenture-owned start-up company in Weehawken, NJ and the internal audit department of Martin Marietta Materials’ Raleigh, NC headquarters. Within the state of North Carolina, he is a licensed Certified Public Accountant (CPA), former Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) and residential real estate broker. Greg holds a Bachelor of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting from the College of William and Mary and a Master’s in Accounting from East Carolina University.
