Student Spotlight on Matt Hoover
A bit about Matt:
Matt is a local guy and is proud to call Greenville, NC, home. In Summer 2015, he graduated from ECU with a Bachelor of Science degree in Health Services Management. Just a few weeks later, he started his MBA program and plans to graduate in Spring 2017 . After graduation, he plans to continue to spread good things about ECU and the College of Business and to continue to network with fellow ECU grads after graduation.
Why he chose ECU MBA:
Matt is so proud to be a pirate. Starting in undergrad here at ECU, he came to love the programs offered at ECU and the people that attend ECU.
Hobbies & Interests:
Matt is a member of the Pi Nu Chapter of Phi Gamma Delta where he held the positions of Recording Secretary, Corresponding Secretary, Fundraising Chair, and Scholarship Chair. His hobbies include: hunting, fishing, wakeboarding, snowboarding, and SCUBA diving. He also has a special interest in automobiles.
Matt’s favorite sport?…NASCAR!
Proudest Accomplishment:
Getting accepted into ECU’s MBA program right after graduating from ECU with a BS degree.
Favorite Class:
As a new MBA student, Matt thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Luchtenberg’s Corporate Finance class. He not only learned the material, but also applied the material to real life current events in class.
Advice to fellow COB Grad Students:
Take it day by day. Determine a reasonable amount of work to do in one day and do your best at it. Slow and steady wins the race.
