ECU Graduate Student Ambassador | Applications Due Oct. 2
East Carolina University Graduate Student Ambassadors
The East Carolina Graduate Student Ambassadors program is made up of a select group of graduate students representing various academic programs on East Carolina’s campus. Ambassadors serve the graduate school by participating in on-campus and off-campus recruiting events, providing campus tours, maintaining the graduate school Instagram page, providing content for the graduate school blog, sharing their experiences with prospective students, mentoring new students, and assisting with various graduate school events. If you enjoying meeting new people, showing your Pirate Pride, and developing your leadership abilities, then we invite you to apply for the East Carolina Graduate Student Ambassadors.
Requirements
Ø Must be a current ECU student (DE Students are encouraged to apply)
Ø Minimum GPA of 3.0
Ø Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ø Attend at least one recruiting event during each academic semester
Ø Be available for 1 office hour per week as needed
Application
A complete application will consist of the following:
Ø A completed application form (Grad Ambassadors Application Form)
Ø Current resume
Ø An essay of 250-500 words explaining why you would like to be a Graduate Student Ambassador. Describe the characteristics and skills that you have that will make you a good Ambassador. Lastly, please discuss what you hope to gain by participating in the program.
***This is a volunteer program that will look great on your future resume. It will provide you with numerous opportunities and leadership skills that will assist you in your future endeavors.
Applications can be submitted via email to gradadmissions@ecu.edu by Monday, October 2nd, 2017 at 5pm. When submitting an application please be sure to include all of the required application materials or your application may not be reviewed.
