SMA Annual Pre-Doctoral Consortium | Oct 9
The Annual Pre-Doctoral Consortium hosted by the Southern Management Association (SMA), will be held in Norfolk, Virginia on Wednesday, October 9 as part of the 2019 Annual SMA Meeting. SMA hosts a pre-doctoral consortium to provide professional advice for those strongly considering attending a doctoral program in Management or a related field. Topics vary but will include sessions on the application process, interviews, developing curriculum vitae (CV), expectations of doctoral students, expectations of faculty members, and student doctoral program fit.
To apply, students should click the below link and fill out the application form. As part of the application, students will need to upload a short letter of interest and a resume, and provide contact information for a faculty reference. Application letters can be brief but should state why the students want to attend the consortium and discuss how it will help them accomplish their career goals.
