Learn Chinese Online This Summer!

One of our Chinese university partners, Shanghai Ocean University, is offering a four week, non-credit online Chinese language and culture program this summer. They have offered five free slots in the program to ECU students.

4 academic hours of Chinese courses are offered according to the schedule, and will divided into 3 levels: Beginner, Elementary, and Intermediate base on students level. Classes are mainly taught in practical oral Chinese to help students improve their listening and speaking abilities in a short period of time.

Application Eligibility:
Non-Chinese citizens in good health between 16 to 55 years of age at the time of application. Applicants under the age of 16 must submit a certificate of guardianship.

Program Application

Complete SHOU online application form at admissions.shou.edu.cn and upload required documents as below.

Application documents:

1. ID Photo. Personal color photos (full face without hat), head account for 2/3 of photo size; no uniform or white coat; glasses required normally worn; white background, frame-less; clear portrait, rich gradation, and natural expression, without obvious distortion.

2. Passport copy. A clear copy of your valid passport with name, photo, birth date, place of birth, date of issue, and date of expiry clearly visible. Visa page is required for applicants who are currently living outside their country of residence.

Applicants will receive an e-mail containing further instructions after completing the online application.
