Registration Starts Friday at 1PM
Please review this ENTIRE post!
Registration for the Spring 2023 semester will begin on Friday, November 4th, at 1pm ET. Below, you will find a few steps to take and some information you should be aware of:
- If you have any questions about registration or if you experience any issues on registration day, please EMAIL your advisor. Please do NOT call our office. Email is the fastest way to get a response.
Be sure to include your ECU ID (B0#######) and the course/section numbers you wish to register for in your email. We will address all concerns as quickly as possible.
- If you are unfamiliar with how to register for classes, please review Preparing to Register.
- Please check your Registration Status ahead of time by logging into PiratePort and opening the Registration and Planning tool. From there, choose Prepare For Registration and select Spring 2023. If you see any items in Red, you will be prevented from registration. Email your advisor if you need assistance.
- Students must be given special permission to register for MGMT6802 and/or MGMT6722. If you are planning to take these courses and haven’t requested permission, please email your advisor ASAP.
- If you try to register for a course and find that it is full, add yourself to its waitlist immediately. Do not panic. We will work to resolve all waitlists in due time.
- Certain ACCT, MKTG, MGMT, and OMGT courses are being offered as 8-week sections in the Spring. Please review the Spring schedule for details. In the registration system, 8-week sections are identified as such in the Title field.
- MBA and Certificate Students: Verify your status as an on-campus or online student.
- Login to PiratePort and choose “DegreeWorks”.
- Look for the “Degree/Program” section.
- If the word “Online” appears in your program, you will NOT be able to register for any on-campus courses in the Spring.
- If the word “Online” does not appear in your program, you will NOT be able to register for the online sections of a course that is being offered on-campus. For example, you will not be able to register for MIS6713-601 because MIS6713-001 is being offered.
- If your program is not listed correctly, please contact your advisor ASAP.
- If you are an MBA student who is also completing a certificate, you need to verify your status for both programs. Use the “Degree” drop-down box at the top of the page to switch between your programs.
