Spring 2025 Registration starts Nov 1

Spring 2025 course offerings are posted on our Registration Information page.

Course registration for Spring 2025 will open at 1:00 p.m. on November 1. While an advising appointment is not required for registration, we want to make sure that all students have an opportunity to speak with their advisor prior to registration. If you would like an advising appointment, it is important that you schedule one early, because our calendars fill quickly. Use the appointment links on the Advisor page to schedule an appointment with your assigned advisor. You can also call our office at 252-328-6970 to schedule a time that works for you.

We’ve answered some FAQs to help you have a smooth registration. 

1. What classes are offered?  Our Registration site has a PDF of the Spring 2025 course offerings. 

2. What classes do I need?  Review your program requirements in Degree Works (via PiratePort).

3. How do I register?  Detailed instructions for Registering are available on the Registrar’s Office website.  The Registration and Planning card (via PiratePort) is where you register for classes.

4. What about advising?  If you’ve reviewed your Degree Works and the Course Offerings, but you want to make sure you’re on the right track, you can schedule an appointment with your advisor or you can ask questions via email. An advising appointment is not required for registration, but your advisor is happy to answer any questions you might have. 

5. Do I need a registration PIN?  Graduate students do not require a PIN for registration.

6. What might keep me from registering?   Check for any holds on your account, even if you believe you have none. Some holds may prevent you from proceeding with registration, so it’s essential to address any issues ahead of time.

7. When does the semester start? When is tuition due?  For semester start and end dates, tuition deadlines, and other important dates, view the Academic Calendars.
