When the spring ’21 commencement exercises are completed May 7, the College of Business and the Miller School of Entrepreneurship will have awarded its first entrepreneurship degree to Waxhaw, North Carolina’s Brady Hillhouse.

Ask anybody within the College of Business and the Miller School of Entrepreneurship, Hillhouse’s name, along with Taylor Walden’s name, will forever be linked to both the College and the Miller School. The first Pirate Entrepreneurship Challenge saw Walden take first place. Hillhouse’s legacy will be linked with taking a full-throttle approach to what ECU, the College of Business and the Miller School of Entrepreneurship provide to future leaders.

Here’s a fun fact about Brady. He founded his first company, FX Tips and Signals, in 2015 as a junior in high school. He later sold that company as a COB freshman in May 2018.

Dr. Mike Harris, Miller School’s director, will tell you Hillhouse is a high bar that will be tough to beat. Hillhouse’s experiences both within and outside ECU have made him someone where future entrepreneurs and leaders can find inspiration.
