Camryn Keeter has her sights set on law school after she graduates from the College of Business next year, and she hopes to work as an attorney in eastern North Carolina.

Originally from Wilson, Keeter says she chose ECU because of her acceptance into the Honors College. She has worked hard academically throughout her time as a student, maintaining a near perfect grade point average. She also works part-time at Gaylord, McNally, Strickland & Snyder, a local law firm, and she landed a summer marketing internship at North Carolina Wesleyan College for the past two summers.

She says she considered several other majors as a freshman, but ultimately business won out. “I love that business can prepare you for many different industries and career options – and a variety of real world experiences,” she said. “The College of Business makes sure that you learn the basics of many different areas, whether it be marketing, accounting, finance, or any other concentration. It not only makes you a well-rounded student, but you may find yourself interested in a particular area that you had never considered for your major.”

Keeter is also a member of Alpha Xi Delta sorority and served as Chapter Life vice president. she also currently serves as vice president of Risk Management and Reduction for the Panhellenic Council. In her free time, she is training to run a half-marathon. Last fall, Keeter was inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma, the premier honor society recognizing business excellence.

“I was very proud to be inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma along with my very accomplished and talented peers,” she said. “It is an honor to represent the ECU College of Business as a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. I also feel that it is the best possible representation of my hard work and dedication to the College of Business.”
