Corporate Social Responsibility in the Dominican Republic
Drs. Kirchoff, Siguaw and Falasca, along with COB undergrad Alina Augustine, visit the Dominican Republic to witness CSR in action.
Faculty from the College’s Department of Marketing & Supply Chain Management, including Dr. Judy Siguaw (chair), Dr. Mauro Falasca (asst. professor), Dr. Jon Kirchoff (asst. professor) and Alina Augustine (undergrad student) traveled to the Dominican Republic with executives from HanesBrands Inc. and Knight Apparel (a HanesBrand company).
The trip allowed the faculty to witness first-hand how Hanes is using corporate social responsibility to improve the lives of employees and community members, to improve environmental sustainability, and to support a medical facility in the country.
