RMI students to present research to industry

Verisk/ISO and the College of Business have partnered to present research conducted by the College’s Risk Management and Insurance (RMI) students.  Featuring work and research performed this term in Dr. Brenda Wells’ class, the student-led seminar, Beyond CBD and THC: Explore the Power of the Plant and Learn about Cannabis Risk, is scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 13, 2019.

A second seminar on active shooter risk will broadcast at a later date. It will feature student-led research coming out of Kurt Fickling’s class.

“It’s been great to work with Verisk/ISO on these research projects,” said Dr. Brenda Wells, director of the College’s RMI program. “What a tremendous opportunity for our students to present a national webinar!  We are thrilled to see all the students’ hard work pay off, and we, as professors, have learned an awful lot in the process, too.  Many thanks to Billy Mauro and Chris Sirota at Verisk/ISO for their guidance and patience as we worked our way through this.”
