The graduate program at East Carolina University offers an innovative perspective on the hospitality industry through its program leading to a Master of Science in Sustainable Tourism and Hospitality. Courses address the positive impact sustainable practices can have both on the environment and on the economic success of organizations within the hospitality industry. Students can explore an area of particular interest through a graduate-level internship or a course focused on special topics in sustainable tourism, and they can earn a hospitality management certificate as they complete their master’s degrees. The program prides itself on its affordability and flexibility; the requirements can be completed in as little as a year, but students are free to take classes on a part-time basis in order to balance existing responsibilities.
