SHL Advisory Board Meets
The School of Hospitality Leadership Advisory Board met March 17, 2023, for its annual spring advisory board meeting.
The Advisory Board met and discussed the SHL Career Fair, SHL Career Pathways Student Conference, SHL alumni profiles and social media activities with SHL student ambassador Zachary Stephenson, course enrollments, student engagement, SHL clubs, the Eta Sigma Delta International Hospitality Honor Society-Advisor, Food and Wine Festival, SHL curriculum and courses discussion and the ACPHA accreditation process for SHL
In attendance were SHL Advisory Board members Dave Conklin of Golden Corral, Dennis Edwards of Visit Raleigh, Paulisha Brown of HSMAI Carolinas, Birju Patel of BPR Properties, Jai Park of First Carolina Management, Gustavo Muzzolon of Carlina Country Club, Mark Sipple of Forest Creek Golf Club, Lezlie Williams of Carolina Country Club, JP Fesperman of Starbucks, JL Nichols (Emeritus SHL Board member), and Inez Ribustello of Inn on the Square and Tarboro Brewing Co.
Irwin Roberts of Golden Corral(Ret.), Brandon Robertson of Cedarwood Country Club, and Wanda Gispert of MGM joined us virtually. SHL faculty in attendance included Cynthia Deale, Jenna Lee, Stephanie Bae, Jun Kwon, Craig Marshall, Mike Fazzini, and Bob O’Halloran.
