SHL Advisory Board member opens new hotel

SHL Advisory Board member Birju Patel cuts the ribbon at the grand opening of his new property.

Birju Patel, president and owner of BPR Properties, recently held an opening celebration of the new Homewood Suites in Greenville, North Carolina. The property is located at 420 Moye Blvd. near the ECU Medical Campus and ECU Health. The property is also across the street from Mr. Patel’s other hotel in Greenville, the Residence Inn. Faculty from the School of Hospitality Leadership (Drs. O’Halloran and Marshall) joined a large diverse group of attendees for the ribbon cutting, which included Greenville Mayor PJ Connelly, members of the Chamber of Commerce and other business representatives from the region.
