Four College of Business supply chain majors attended the STAFDA2023 Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, Nov. 4-7, 2023.  The attendees were all Supply Chain Management majors in the College of Business (Rodney Bonilla, Reece Harvey, Alexandra (Allie) Jackson, and Madison Nay).

More than 3000 conference attendees gathered at the event.  The students participated in the inaugural Case Challenge, placing second in the competition.  Madison Nay summed the conference up with this:

“What a great couple of days in San Antonio, Texas, spending time at a Next-Generation luncheon, competing and placing 2nd in a great competition, meeting many new career professionals, and touring this awesome city. I have met many extraordinary people who make up this massive industry that drives the growth of our country and world.  The keynote speaker Mike Holmes from the HGTV series Holmes on Homes, was outstanding.”

Rodney, Reece, & Allie all agreed that they had an amazing opportunity to represent East Carolina University in Specialty Tools & Fasteners Dist. Assn. (STAFDA)’s annual student supply chain competition in San Antonio, TX.   They all gave a special thank you to Georgia Foley for the invitation and Inchainge for sponsoring the student supply chain competition.

The trip was made possible through the Vincent K. McMahon Endowed Professorship, currently held by Dr. John F. Kros of the Department of Marketing and Supply Chain Management in the College of Business.  The students were accompanied by Dr. Kros & Dr. Mauro Falasca, who serves as the Student ISM Chapter advisor.
