College of Business Living-Learning Community Move-In and Welcome
This August marks our fourth year of welcoming the College of Business Living-Learning Community (LLC) students. We are honored to have the opportunity to move into the new Gateway Residence Hall, located in the College Hill neighborhood. On Wednesday, August 19th from 12pm-5pm, College of Business Deans, faculty, and staff will serve as the Move-In Crew and help our new students move into their rooms. With smiling faces, the Move-In Crew helps to unload cars and greet new LLC arrivals. (I mean really, how cool is it to have your college dean or professor open up your car door, welcome you, and move your belongings up three flights of steps!)
We are expecting fifty-nine new first year students and six returning students. Following move-in, we will have a Welcome Dinner for College of Business faculty, staff, new LLC students, and their family and friends at Club Level at Dowdy-Ficklen Stadium. This is only the beginning of Welcome Week! More programs and opportunities for involvement are to come, such as a full day retreat put together with the help of Campus Recreation. The LLC students will paddle in the Tar River, bike on Greenville’s greenway, and climb ECU’s indoor rock wall. We intend to kick start the students’ college experience on a positive note and welcome them with open arms!
