Lucthenberg Earns Best Paper Award

Luchtenberg Best Paper AwardDr. Kimberly F. Luchtenberg, assistant professor in the ECU Department of Finance, and her co-author, Dr. Michael J. Seiler, professor at the College of William and Mary, recently earned the Best Paper Award at the American Real Estate Society’s (ARES) 31st Annual Meeting.

ARES members selected their paper, titled “Did the Recent Financial Crisis Impact Integration between the Real Estate and Stock Markets?”as the best paper in Journal of Real Estate Portfolio Management in 2014.

Dr. Luchtenberg joined the Department of Finance in 2013. She previously taught at Old Dominion University in Norfolk, Va., where she earned her PhD in Business Administration. She also earned her MBA from Old Dominion in 1997 and earned her undergraduate degree in mathematics from the U.S. Naval Academy in Annapolis in 1990. She teaches Financial Management to undergraduate students as well as graduate students in the College of Business.
