Supply Chain Management Advisory Board Meets

2015 SCM Adv Bd Mtg 2On October 23, the Supply Chain Management Advisory Board met on campus to provide leadership to the university’s Supply Chain Management programs.

Board members in attendance included: Thomas Cafasso (Associate Director of Sourcing, ConvaTec Inc.), Gary Strickland (Product and Segment Manager, Vinventions), Mark Champagne (Category Manager, NACCO Materials Handling Group), Bill Holliday (President, Tactical Sourcing LLC), Rod Mallette (VP and General Manager, International Auto Logistics), Tony Brown (Account Manager, Caterpillar Logistics), and Gene Bodenheimer (Senior VP Business Development, Genco ATC).

The board members spent a successful session providing ideas and recommendations to support the direction of SCM programs. This year’s meeting focused on a variety of topics including future changes to the BSBA SCM undergraduate program and the MBA SCM graduate certificate, the upcoming College of Business Leadership Conference and Supply Chain Career Event, as well as different faculty industry engagement opportunities.

In the past, the different companies represented in the advisory board have provided the ECU SCM program with internship opportunities, support for field trips, as well as guest speakers.
