COB Sponsors Summer Camp Program
The COB co-sponsored the College MAP Summer Camp Program held July 18 – 22, 2016 on the campus of East Carolina University. Ten students attended the camp and were housed in Legacy Hall.
About The Program
The College MAP Summer Camp program is a joint initiative of Ernst & Young L.L.P., College for Every Student, and ECU’s College of Business. The goal of this collegiate summer camp program is to provide support to underserved 
students as they consider and work toward their dream of higher education. The camp experience helps students better navigate the college application and financial aid process, provides access to resources, and exposes them to the benefits of higher education.
COB faculty and staff who met with students include Cal 
Christian, T.D. Gribble, Steve Myszak, Richard O’Dor, and Don Pack. Some of the camp highlights included lunch with ECU Head Football Coach Scottie Montgomery, an etiquette dinner with T.D. Gribble, a college classroom experience with Don Pack, and closing remarks provided by Dr. Rick Niswander, ECU Vice Chancellor of Administration and Finance. COB alumni Stephen Watson (BSBA 2011, MSA 2013) served as the Ersnt & Young liaison to the camp.
