Luchtenberg Wins Manuscript Prize Award

Dr. Kimberly Luchtenberg, Assistant Professor in the Department of Finance, is the winner of the American Real Estate Society (ARES) 2016 Manuscript Prize Award in the Real Estate Investment category for her paper “Cure Rates on Defaulted Junior Lien Mortgage Debt”. Luchtenberg coauthored with Michael LaCour-Little (California State University, Fullerton) and Michael J. Seiler (The College of William and Mary). The paper was presented at the AREA 32nd Annual Meeting in Denver, CO.   An ARES officer stated “this year’s slate of winning papers is quite possibly the best set of collective research ever recognized by the annual prize committee”.
