Deale Invited to Participate in BB&T Grant

Dr. Cynthia Deale, Professor in the School of Hospitality Leadership received an invitation to participate in the Fall 2016 BB&T Active Learning and Leadership Development Incentive Grant. This grant is an important compilation of best instructional practices and leadership development/active learning connections. Additionally, one of the main purposes of this program is to document the connections between active learning and leadership ability development.
At the end of the semester, journals, recordings, and final reflections will be reviewed to note how faculty have used active learning and how leadership capacity development has been embedded into their instruction. Faculty participants will submit journals, reflections, and video recordings, and faculty will receive a stipend for participating. Her interest in and efforts to incorporate active learning into teaching make her a great choice to participate in this group.
